Students (0-20 PFPs)
Section titled “Students (0-20 PFPs)”- Supervision: High; always with a parent guide or instructor
- Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions and safety rules
- Participate in assigned activities
- Ask for help when needed
- Privileges:
- Access to beginner climbing routes
- Structured learning environment
Scholars (20-80 PFPs)
Section titled “Scholars (20-80 PFPs)”- Supervision: Moderate; some independent activity with periodic check-ins
- Responsibilities:
- Begin making choices about activities
- Participate in safety checks and basic equipment setup
- Support peers and communicate needs
- Privileges:
- Choose between climbing difficulties
- Flexible workspace arrangement
- Participate in group decision-making
Guides (80-100 PFPs)
Section titled “Guides (80-100 PFPs)”- Supervision: Low; self-directed with oversight
- Responsibilities:
- Lead group activities and mentor younger climbers
- Independently manage safety and equipment
- Design and facilitate climbing challenges
- Privileges:
- Full movement freedom
- Activity design responsibilities
- Mentor and support other participants
Trustees (20-100 PFPs)
Section titled “Trustees (20-100 PFPs)”- Supervision: Minimal; trusted with observation and advisory roles
- Responsibilities:
- Observe program activities and provide feedback
- Serve on the board of trustees
- Uphold program values and support continuous improvement
- Privileges:
- Attend board meetings
- Participate in program evaluation and planning
- Influence program direction and policy
